The business

Clarion Insight is a consultancy that specialises in helping organisations with navigating, shaping, and implementing organisational change. Their aim was to broaden their customer base beyond defence and security, to include both the public and private sectors.

The challenges and goals
Clarion recognised the need to update their website to better resonate with their new and existing audiences. Their Strategic & Creative Communications team excelled in content design and copywriting but had identified a gap in UX expertise.

Our approach
I provided a UX consulting service to assist in every stage of the website redesign process. Her systematic approach involved employing a variety of activities to steer the team through each delivery phase. This included:

  • Educational sessions strategically placed within the research cycles to enhance knowledge and skills.

  • Meetings to assess and provide guidance on crucial research activities, including planning, conducting, analysing, and reporting.

  • Templates to streamline their process and shorten learning curve.

Impact

I tailored my approach in my engagement with Clarion, working within their team’s scope of capability, time, and capacity. As a result, Clarion's Strategic & Creative Communications team were able to effectively conduct user research, gaining the insights they needed to progress to project forward, and deliver a website that met the key user needs across their personas.

The Clarion Insight team now possesses the knowledge and skills to further enhance their website in a user-centric manner.
